AIAW Championships Involving Los Angeles Teams

In 1978, UCLA won the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) Large College Basketball Tournament by defeating Maryland by 90-74. The AIAW Finals ceased after 1982 when most Division I teams entered the first NCAA tournaments rather than the AIAW's last one.
