The Angel City Chorale, a non-profit chorale group based in Los Angeles, amazed the audience and judges of America's Got Talent in 2018 with a unique rendition of Toto's 'Africa.' The ethnically diverse, highly-esteemed and very-charitable chorale was founded in 1993 by Sue Fink with just 18 singers at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Santa Monica. Now numbering 160 singers in 2018, the group has performed at prominent venues in Los Angeles, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Kodak Theater, and Nokia Theater at LA Live. Their rendition of 'Africa,' a version created a capella in 2009 by Slovenian jazz chorale Perpetuum Jazzile, was first performed by Angel City Chorale in 2013 and became then a huge viral hit on YouTube, long before their 2018 appearance on America's Got Talent.
